Lauren Kessler, MSW, LCSW
With nearly 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker, I have dedicated my career to supporting older adults, individuals living with serious or chronic illness, and the family caregivers who care for them. My work has spanned outpatient geriatric primary care, hospice and palliative care, and healthcare leadership — giving me a deep understanding of both the emotional and practical challenges that arise across the aging and healthcare journey.
Throughout my career, I have provided comprehensive psychosocial support to patients and families navigating complex medical diagnoses, caregiving responsibilities, grief and loss, end-of-life decisions, and major life transitions. I have also spent the last several years leading teams of social workers within the healthcare technology space, helping family caregivers access meaningful support, resources, and guidance while navigating an often overwhelming healthcare system.
This experience informs my current practice, where I offer a thoughtful blend of therapy, counseling, advance care planning, and care consultations for individuals and families. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people deserve both emotional support and practical guidance as they navigate aging, illness, caregiving, and future planning. Whether you are coping with a new diagnosis, managing the stress of caregiving, preparing for future care needs, or seeking support through a difficult transition, I strive to create a space where you feel supported, informed, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
