Counseling Services

Counseling can provide a safe and nurturing environment for individuals to seek support, guidance and understanding for a variety of stressors and challenges in their lives. I bring a holistic approach, highlighting strengths and helping clients to develop coping skills and tools to effectively manage those sources of distress. I utilize a humanistic, strengths-based approach to therapy, and integrate cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques. Whether you have a new diagnosis, have recently lost a loved one, are helping your older parent navigate complex health issues or are dealing with challenging family dynamics, I will work with you to address these issues in supportive, non-judgmental space where we will create a treatment plan that works for you.

Consultation and Care Management Services

In addition to individual counseling, my services can also be used to provide comprehensive evaluation and assessment of an older adult’s needs, preparing a plan for now and the future. Whether it be evaluating the safety of a loved one in their home, arranging for in-home services, helping to locate a new community or setting for care, or establishing a plan after a new diagnosis or change in health, I will work with you and your family to create a plan suited to your needs, goals, and wishes.

Ongoing oversight, coordination and management of care

Once a plan is established, clients can choose to implement it themselves or utilize my services to provide ongoing implementation and coordination of care and resources. I will work with you to create a plan that works for you and your family.
